What is with people on myspace who make a stink out of the top lists?

I am 25 years old and my friends get pissy about the order. they're in no particular order! they're just there so I can find them easily. anyone else have friends like that? Why do people care about the top 8?

1. I don't. I just have my closest friends, (like 5) just by order of my very best friend and then the others in no order, then my two cousins that have myspace and a band as no. 8. but no one can even see that b/c i have it hidden. It's stupid to make a big deal over that.
2. Honestly, a lot of teenagers, and probably a lot of adults lie about their top 8 saying its in no real order.. Even though, most of the time, it is based on who they like more at the time. If best friends are really attached, and some guy gets in front of you on a top spot, im sure it might cause you to get a little jealous. Its kind of like a visual seeing of how someone is replacing you. Only they can lie and say, "Oh its just myspace" even though their feelings are most likely like that in real life...
